Hi I'm Alana, a 26 year old baker & cake artist from Morecambe UK. I owned my own beautiful cake unit in the heart of Lancaster city for almost 5 years! Recently we moved to a new location in Torrisholme in Morecambe in a brand new premises! This is where we make all our bespoke cakes and bakes. Everything we make is homemade with lots of love & some artistic flair. I started baking as a hobby in 2018 while I was still a haircolour technician. After a short while this soon became very popular and my skills in baking improved enough for me to take a big risk to leave my previous job as a hairstylist and open my very own cake studio to pursue my dream. Every order I take makes me do a little happy dance, my clients mean everything to me & so does my little business. So thank you to all of you, without you this wouldn't be possible. You guys rock!

Hi I'm Theresa AKA Mama Carter, I have watched and supported Alana through her entire journey, it has always been our dream to work together & now it's finally come to fruition. I was a support worker for many years before finally joining my daughter to build her cake empire further. I absolutely loved my job & those who I supported, but after a sad loss within my job it was time for a change, & to be working alongside Alana is a dream come true. I've always been a savoury food maker but after some training and support I threw myself into making the bakes you all know and love. Thank you to all of our customers for making this possible!

Hi my fur-friends! My name is Basil, my mummy owns Carter's & has made me part of the team (finally!) Soon you'll be able to bring your 4 legged babies to my special Basil's Bakes counter! Here you will find our delicious & fur-friendly bakes and treats made in house, they gave me the job of chief taste tester.. lucky me! My human also said we will have other doggo products to purchase too, please come and visit me, I love making new friends, plus you can get a photo taken with me for my walk of fame!

Well known for my brilliant (although somewhat eye roll worthy dad jokes), I am the partner of your head baker Alana & was delighted to be asked to join the team and the family buisness. I've never been much of a baker but i'm learning everyday with the guidance from Alana & she says i'm doing great, watch out Mary Berry...
